今日のアメリカ社会がかかえている問題を、民族グループ（アフリカ系、日系、ヒスパニック系）ごとに明らかにして行く。民主主義の国アメリカに多くの問題（貧困、差別、民族にかかわる問題）があることを発見した後、課題を分析し、さらに情報を収集して多様な文化や言語がどのように共生できるかを考える力を身につけているか。

This class aims to clarify the specific issues facing each ethnic group (African-Americans, Caucasians, Hispanics, etc.) in the United States, highlighting the numerous issues (such as poverty, discrimination, and other ethnicity-related issues) facing this democratic nation. Students should be able to analyze issues, collect further information, and develop their ability to examine the ways in which people of diverse cultures and languages can coexist in one society.
